1997
1997 was the year Habber Tec was born, and Madrid was his hometown, in the basement of a client’s office. Back then it was a small startup of four engineers who dreamed of changing the world through technology. The first services that Habber offered were training and outsourcing, in the incipient areas of business information management and electronic banking. In those early days, Habber had already the opportunity to participate in some of the most important initiatives of business intelligence and Data Warehouse in Spain.
2006
Less than a decade after its foundation, Habber Tec crossed borders and in 2006 started operations in Caracas, Venezuela
2008
In 2008 in Lisbon, Portugal.
2009
In 2009, Habber Tec merged with WG Systems to create Habber Tec Brazil. This merge allowed the constitution of an international group, with coverage in Europe and America, leading the fields of advanced analytics and process automation.
2013
Throughout its history, Habber’s team has achieved hundreds of certifications in the most disruptive technologies and received various awards and recognitions. Highlighting the one of 2013, Habber was selected by IBM as the world’s best BPM implanter.
2014
Habber Tec Mozambique was born in 2014, supported by the Portuguese Center of Competences and Development. This initiative has been creating value to the business of partners and clients in that country, through pioneering and innovative projects, mainly in the financial sector, in the areas of digital transformation (process management, mobility, web channel), and analytics.
That same year, Habber Tec became one of the first companies worldwide to become certified to deploy Watson, IBM’s pioneering AI platform. Since then, it has become a reference incorporating AI into its clients’ business processes.
2016
In April 2016, Habber Tec Brazil became part of the GFT Brazil group.
2019
In 2019, more than 22 years after its birth, Habber Tec has been recognized by IBM for the technological excellence of its implementations and, as its CEO from Spain, Ricardo Argüello, affirms, “we are proud to have become a strategic piece that has helped transform the businesses of hundreds of our clients in Europe, America and Africa. However, we continue to be fueled by the spirit of innovation that inspired us in a basement in 1997, to be better every day”.
2020
2020 changed the world due to the pandemic. Both people and companies had to adapt to the newly surged coronavirus. Cloud computing became a priority for companies, and enterprises that hadn’t adopted these technologies had to make their way up the cloud rapidly. In the middle of these major challenges, Habber Tec received the “Best Partner in Cloud Integration Software” award from IBM. An award that recognizes all the work and effort from a team of people that stood out in the integration of cloud systems to automate customer operations. Furthermore, our clients gained the tools to tackle and keep up with the increase of their business and innovation volume, where the traditional integration approaches can’t reach.
2021
In a year marked by the consequences of the pandemic, Habber Tec UK is born, with the aim to reach our British clients and to offer our services to clients from Portugal, Spain and/or Mozambique that have their headquarters in the United Kingdom, and want to implement our technological solutions to become leaders in their sectors.
In 2021, corporate digitization went from being an objective to becoming a necessity. Throughout this transformation, we were alongside with our customers having innovation as our flag. For its “firm commitment with its customers’ digital transformation”, Habber Tec received the “Automation Partner of the Year” award from IBM

In EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa)
In 2024 we transcended frontiers by winning the IBM Partner Plus 2024 award in the “Automation” category in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), thanks to a solution developed for the largest bank in the Spanish market, based on IBM automation technologies, which enabled the client to increase its productivity and improve user service. Entries were anonymised and judged on experience, partnership, impact and innovation. The winners were selected from hundreds of entries in six categories.

This award recognizes the IBM Business Partner solution that uses Business Process Management (BPM) to help customers improve their efficiency, flexibility, and control of their key business processes across the enterprise.
